Highly polished sterling silver cut out Hawaiian design Hawaiian Monk Seal stud earrings. The seals are post back stud earrings secured with spring butterfly clips. The polished finish is also an anti tarnish coating. A very unusual and unique Hawaiian jewelry design. Measurements: 10mm high. Widest point of the seal 10mm. Total weight 0.9 grams. The monk seal is one of Hawaii's two endemic mammals. Ancient Hawaiians named the seal Ilio-holo-i-ka-uaua, translated means "dog that runs in rough waters"
